An America for All of Us Our Country, Our Voice |
![]() As we mark ten years since September 11th, America will remember and reflect upon the loss of life on that day, and the events that have transpired since then. Over the past decade, many communities who call America home have been affected by unfair policies and xenophobic rhetoric. This year, let’s work together to ensure that our country is true to the fundamental ideals of fairness, diversity and equality, and that we live in An America for All of Us |

ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN
What is the An America for All of Us campaign?
As we approach the 10-year anniversary of September 11, our country will
engage in a process of reflection, renewal and recommitment to fundamental American values. This campaign seeks to contribute to this process by ensuring that the experiences of South Asians, Arab Americans, Muslims and Sikhs over the past decade are part of our observations and understanding.
Why should I join the An America for All of Us campaign?
From Sikh schoolchildren who are attacked by classmates to remove articles of faith to Muslim families targeted for detention and deportation, stories of the post-September 11 impact on our communities are often unheard. Through the campaign, we want to ensure that part of our country’s narrative in the decade after September 11 includes the stories of South Asian, Arab American, Sikh and Muslim communities who faced harassment, discrimination and targeting in various ways. These experiences, stories and contributions of community members are part of the national dialogue marking the 10-year anniversary of September 11.
Who is involved in the An America for All of Us campaign?
An America for All of Us is an initiative of South Asian Americans Leading Together (SAALT) in partnership with members of the National Coalition of South Asian Organizations and ally organizations. The campaign marks the 10-year anniversary of September 11 through documentation, policy initiatives, and community mobilization. Join and support the campaign here.
How will the An America for All of Us campaign work?
Community members and organizations will document the experiences of South Asians during and after September 11th, 2001 through testimonials and multimedia; foster discourse and education through local hearings and forums; build bridges with other communities targeted by racial, religious or national origin bias or affected by post-September 11 backlash; and advocate with policymakers for the revocation of policies and laws that run counter to fundamental American principles.
